Are you a student who requires a basic bioinformatics understanding?
Are you studying bioinformatics as part of a study of another subject, for example Zoology, Botany, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Science or a vocational subject? Or are you student of BCA, MCA or Computer science who requires basic understanding of biology where it meets computer science?
If you can answer ‘yes’ to all three questions then this crash course is primarily for you.
The main aim of this course is to encourage and develop your interest in Bioinformatics, which I have found to be a fascinating subject for over eight years.
Our aims are to help you to:
-
Understand the essential ideas and concepts of bioinformatics.
-
Perform some of the most useful bioinformatics tools.
-
Be able to judge which method is appropriate for which query.
-
Be aware of the assumptions and pitfalls of the methods.
-
Perform basic programming in JAVA, .NET, PYTHON and PEARL.
Tutorials are available in following areas:
-
eResources
-
OMIM
-
Phylogenetic Analysis
-
Proteomics
-

IBRCS InfoSystem:
IBRCS InfoSystem is a software developing team. The team primarily looks for innovative ideas for easing the complex work load in hospitals. IBRCS InfoSystem team is also interested in providing faster and statistically more robust results gathered from various lab assays.
Our achievements:
ArianSco 0.1. Used for Comet assay analysis
ArianFlo 0.1. Used in flowcytometry (Under process)
IBRCS InfoSystem offers training and project support on real time problems to Bioinformatics, BCA, MCA and computer
science students.
A certificate of training will be provided to those successfully complete the project and score satisfactory in review committee's evaluation.
Further details on the project/trainng can be obtained by mailing to ibrcservices@yahoo.co.in.
IBRCS invites application from eligible candidates pursuing B.Sc. and integrated M.Sc./M.tech degree (those completed at least three years) in any branch of life sciences to undertake Online Project Training in Bioinformatics as a part of their dissertation work/course.
Student who have completed their post-graduation are also eligible.
The completed application form along with reference letter from the Head of Department/ Principal of College/University/Educational Institute in proscribed format* may be sent electronically to ibrcservices@yahoo.co.in on or before 30th November 2014.
